St. Charles Catholic Pilgrimages is seeking an experienced and successful sales representative to begin on or before June 1, 2023. The right candidate will be an outgoing self-starter with proven success in a comparable sales force and has a love for Christ, his Church, and international travel.
Your Role at St. Charles Catholic Pilgrimages:
- Foster relationships with parish priests, deacons, and lay faith formation staff in an effort to secure a parish pilgrimage for their community
- Continue to build relationships with previous pilgrimage partners in an effort to retain their business
- Manage the sales process from beginning (client identification) to end (closing the deal)
- Work together with the sales manager to create proposals for prospective clients
- Track all sales traffic by maintaining a spreadsheet of all diocesan priests and potential pilgrimage partners for each diocese of the USA
- Initiate and execute sales strategies including but not limited to email campaigns, phone calls, social media curation, and company representation at conferences
- Through experience, bring new sales strategies to the company
- Attend a weekly sales meeting to discuss and set goals for the coming week
- Consistently meet and exceed a quarterly quota
- Other sales related responsibilities as needed
You should have:
- 2-5 years experience in a comparable sales role
- Skills and knowledge of effective sales strategies related to travel hospitality
- Deep knowledge of the inner workings of a Catholic parish
- Ability to form relationships with priests, deacons, seminarians, and lay faith formation parish staff
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
- Ability to offer exceptional customer service with confidence and competence
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Bonus points:
- Direct experience serving in a sales role in the group-travel/pilgrimage field
- Have pre-established relationships with priests in your home diocese and elsewhere
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
