St. Ann and St. Joseph Catholic Parishes are seeking a full-time Director of Music and Liturgy. This position works to project and implement the Parishes’ vision and goals by promoting musical and liturgical excellence consistent with the Roman Catholic Tradition. The individual must be able to organize, plan, and execute a comprehensive plan that forms parishioners and non-parishioners in their faith and allows all to experience the depth and beauty of the liturgy. The Director works closely with the Pastor, staff, and volunteers to ensure the total formation of disciples and emboldening them to live out their lives as disciples.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to recruit and empower individuals to embrace mission, and have outstanding organizational skills. This position requires a candidate who loves the mission of the Church, who is experienced and able to play/lead various musical instruments—including the organ—, who is trained and experienced in vocal technique and choral conducting, has a knowledge and willingness to learn and appreciate the rich liturgical life of the Church, and possesses the skills of: problem solving, collaboration, technology, and multitasking.
