This position is a seven-week summer position, with 11 days of training working as a missionary in parishes throughout the Diocese of Charlotte. Each week, teams of at least four missionaries (two women/two men) visit a new parish and host a five-day parish mission. Missionaries are responsible for teaching classes to grades 1-6 during the day and hosting a program for grades 7-12 in the evening. Missionaries will be trained to teach classes on theological topics. Missionaries stay with a host family from the parish and meals are provided during the week. Missionaries will be released from formal responsibilities for a mid-summer break from June 28th - July 2nd. Missionaries return for a mid-summer retreat July 3rd - July 5th in preparation for the final four weeks of service.
