1st Grade Teacher

Saint Leo Catholic School is seeking qualified candidates interested in teaching 1st grade beginning the 2023-2024 school year. Qualified candidates should be licensed or be able to attain a teaching license. Teachers must have a Bachelor's degree, an interest in teaching students, and a desire to work for a Catholic school.

St. Leo is a small Catholic Pre-K through grade 8 school in Winston-Salem, NC serving a over 250 students. Our teachers inspire and challenge young learners to grow in every area: spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
•Bachelor's or Master's degree
•Experience teaching preferred

Major duties and responsibilities:
•Create daily and long-range lesson plans
•Assess student understanding of what has been taught, and modify teaching accordingly
•Communicate constructively with parents
•Maintain appropriate and accurate records in learning management system
•Complete report cards professionally and punctually
•Pursue professional development opportunities both individually and collaboratively
•Represent the school in a professional manner
•Other duties as assigned
