Book Publicist

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Book Publicist to join our team. The Book Publicist will be responsible for promoting our authors and their books through various media channels, securing publicity opportunities, and coordinating book launches and events. The ideal candidate will have strong media connections, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully promoting books and authors.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute publicity strategies for authors and their books, including press releases, media pitches, and promotional materials
Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, reviewers, and other media professionals to secure media coverage and interviews
Organize and coordinate book launches, signings, readings, and other events to promote authors and their work
Work closely with authors to develop their public profiles and support their promotional efforts
Collaborate with the marketing and editorial teams to create integrated promotional campaigns
Track and analyze media coverage to assess the effectiveness of publicity efforts and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in book publicity or a similar role within the publishing industry
Established network of media contacts in the publishing and literary fields
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
