High School English Teacher 9-12

Cathedral Preparatory School and Seminary is seeking a full time English Teacher 9-12 to begin September 2023.

- Must be Catholic and an exemplar of Catholic values in and out of the classroom;
- BA/BS and/or MA/MS Degree in English strongly preferred;
- Knowledge of and background working with special education practices strongly preferred;
- Must be proficient with the NY State English curriculum;
- Must be cognizant of current educational best practices;
- Must be able to incorporate primary and secondary sources into lessons;
- Must provide instruction to students on synthesizing information from documents using information from documents in writing;
- Must be proficient with current educational technology including SMART, iOS, internet, etc;
- New York State certification in Secondary Education - English preferred.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with special needs education and services preferred.
