Director of Religious Education

The Director of Religious Education is responsible for overseeing the implementation of religious curriculum and building the faith community of the parish through the children and families. The DRE works closely with the pastor, the parish office staff, an assistant, and a team of volunteers who teach the children in the classroom. It is the responsibility of the DRE to ensure alignment with the needs of the parish along with USCCB and Vatican guidelines, seek guidance and vision from the pastor, and ensure quality faith education at the parish level.

Organize annual class schedule, work with families with students in delayed sacramental formation, organize grade level & sacramental liturgies, organize retreats, family meetings and week to week classes.

Recommended abilities: High proficiency in Office & Google suites, understand & speak Spanish, well organized, knowledge of Liturgy
