Immediate: English Teacher

Holy Cross High School is searching for qualified candidates for an immediate vacancy in their English Department. This position with run through the remainder of the school year, with an opportunity for a position the following September.

Candidates will be responsible for Regents level coursework in English Language Arts. Teachers must:
• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with New York State Common Core learning standards.
• Tailor curriculum to engage students with computer-supported instruction.
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
• Participate in the school community and professional development.
• Effectively manage all classes.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Successful candidates will have
• Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in education or a related field.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
