English Language Teacher

St. John's Prep is seeking an English teacher for the 2023-2024 academic school year. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in English (NYS Certification preferred). Applicants must be enthusiastic, energetic, and willing to teach as a member of a team, in conjunction with the other members of the faculty both in and outside of the department. St. John's Prep requires a commitment to the mission and values of the school, as well as the willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular program.

Responsibilities:
1. The teacher will be responsible for teaching College English Class, Honor courses, and be prepared to:
- Plan and implement curriculum aligned with St. John's University's Dual Credit Program and NYS ELA Standards.
- Design, plan and implement assessments to evaluate and measure academic progress.
- Participate in the school community and professional development.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

English MA required and NYS Certification preferred
