Social Studies Middle School

Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy is searching for a Middle School Social Studies teacher.

The requirements for this position are:
* a minimum of a bachelor's degree and appropriate New York State Department of Education certification and qualifications prescribed by law.
*work collaboratively with cross-grade level colleagues in a small
Catholic school
*plan lessons linked to the New York State Common Core standards
*engage students in a rigorous curriculum
*have strong classroom management skills
*develop clear and appropriate lesson plans and identifies
instructional materials on a weekly basis
*be professional in all dealings with students, families, staff, and all
stakeholders
*actively participate in ongoing professional development
*be responsible for grading and entering grades as required each week
**be a part of a close, supportive faith community
**support the school's mission, vision, and policies
