Holy Trinity Diocesan High School seeks to hire a Computer Science Teacher who, in addition to teaching, will be able to support the Office of Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Communications as the Website/Social Media Coordinator.
The Office of Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Communications at Holy Trinity is tasked with the production, distribution, and management of the varying internal and external communication needs of the institution. This office is responsible for all publications, website management, social media, marketing and public relations.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Computer Science Teacher and Website/Social Media Coordinator will:
Teach Introduction to Computer Science (freshman) course two to three periods per day
Develop curriculum for higher-level courses in Computer Science that can be offered during the 2023-24 school year
Maintain the day to day operations of Holy Trinity's eCatholic website updates, photo library, etc.
Create and post content for website and social media platforms
Expand and maintain the school's social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms
Manage a weekly schedule of school events that should be featured in school communications
Contribute to the school's newsletter, annual report, and magazine
Other Job Functions
Establish and maintain strong relationships among all stakeholders of Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, including students, parents, alumni, community members, faculty, staff, and administrators
Ensure personal professional development and attends professional conferences and meetings to advance goals, stay current, and maintain institutional affiliations
Maintain visibility through interactions with current and prospective students, parents, faculty, and staff, and by participation in a variety of activities
Advance the mission and vision of Holy Trinity in the execution of all aspects of this role
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university
NYS Teaching Certification in Technology Education and/or Computer Science (will consider applicants working towards their certification)
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's Degree and some teaching experience
Demonstrated experience in the production and management of digital and online content
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal skills
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, develop, and implement short-term and long-term goals and projects
Skill in the use of digital design/editing software and production programs
Ability to expertly navigate the variety of media platforms used by Holy Trinity
