Math Science Elementary Teacher

TO APPLY: Provide cover letter, current resume, two letters of recommendation (at least one must be a professional reference) to the principal.

The anticipated position is available for a 6th Grade Math and Science teacher. The candidate should have completed a teaching degree from an accredited university in education and have a valid NYS teaching license.

1. Planning and implementing a program that encourages the physical, social, and cognitive development of each child and that follows the policies and philosophy of the school.
2. Utilizing all available resources to provide an educationally sound program, including field trips, resource people, creative themes, etc.
3. Adapting the program to the needs of the individual child with concern for his/her interests,
special need, talents, and individual style and pace of learning.
4. Provide age-appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities
5. Be a part of a close, supportive faith community
6. Support the school's mission, vision, and policies
7. Engage students in a rigorous curriculum
