SUMMARY: Perform general secretarial/receptionist functions including greeting and referring visitors, receiving and transferring telephone calls, taking messages, sorting and distributing mail and performing general clerical work as time is available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer office phone calls, assist/ respond to inquiries
Screen phone calls for pastor
Schedule mass offerings
Maintain and update parish sacramental records
Attend and participate in regular team meetings
Maintain online parish calendar along with scheduling of facilities
File appropriate paper work in an organized and timely fashion
Manage parishioner database
Communicate with 3rd parties at the direction of the pastor
Receive and coordinate the scheduling of parish meeting spaces
Process baptism, wedding and funeral requests as needed
Other duties as assigned by the pastor

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Requires secretarial and/or office experience. High School graduate or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Active member of a Roman Catholic parish and whose life is consistent with the mission of the Catholic Church. Typing and/or word processing at 50wpm. Must proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and E- Mail. In addition, must be able to use texting and social media. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, organize work effectively and develop and maintain effective record-keeping systems. Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality is required.
