The Montfort Academy is seeking a full-time dynamic teacher who is capable of-and passionate about-teaching the following subjects: Latin, Greek, and Rhetoric & Debate. An excellent candidate for this position will be liberally educated in the Classical Languages, adept in reading and translating classical Latin and Greek prose and poetry, and exploring and explaining its related interdisciplinary history, literature, and culture. An excellent candidate will also be faithful to the Church and excited to begin forming young minds with the Socratic Method. The successful candidate will also be happy to work on a team of like-minded teachers who understand that they all help form the minds, bodies, and souls of our students. The successful candidate will view teaching as a vocation and not simply a job and will be willing to supervise at least one extracurricular activity. The chosen candidate will also moderate at least one club, such as our St. Joseph the Worker Club and our C.S. Lewis Discussion Society.
Previous high school teaching experience is particularly desirable, but all candidates with passion, humility, and devotion for the students entrusted to Montfort by their parents and God will be considered.
