Custodians

St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and School in Medford, a growing community, is seeking one full-time and one part-time Handyman/Custodian for the church and school.

The qualified candidates will be responsible for specific daily cleaning duties, knowledge of building systems, opening and locking buildings, and general security. Ensure that the facilities are fully operational, safe, clean, and neat, and prepared for Church Masses/School and Ministry activities. Perform ongoing repairs for the buildings, such as light electrical, light plumbing, and painting. Ability to safely use common power and hand tools to do simple repairs, e.g., doors/windows/gutters.

The candidates must have effective communication skills and be self-starters with good time management skills. The Handymen/Custodians will function as the church's representatives with outside contractors and inspectors coming onto the property or into the building.

The Handymen/Custodians will report to the Facilities Manager. Full-time hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Part-time hours are 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Benefits and salary are commensurate with experience. Schedule will include some overtime and potential work on holidays.
