The Administrative Assistant ("A.Asst.") serves as the first impression for our Catholic church and parish rectory office, managing communications (phone, e-mail, in-person) and keeping records for parishioners, visitors, parish employees, volunteers. The A. Asst. also keeps track and oversees building-repair and maintenance for parish buildings and property. The A.Asst. supports both management and record keeping of the parish by our Pastor, by our Religious Education teaching staff, and by our Bookkeeper.
Our regular office hours are 9 am - 2 pm, Monday-Friday.
This position is part-time and paid on an hourly basis.
Qualifications: __ Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. __ Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities. __ At minimum, Microsoft(MS)-Word _or_ MS-Excel. Familiarity with MS-PowerPoint or MS-Publisher is an added asset. Competency to learn software and manage communications through the internet, the web, e-mail, social media, is essential.
