Saint James the Apostle Catholic Church, Springfield, NJ is seeking an OFFICE MANAGER/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT.
Job Summary: Manages and participates in parish office operations while providing direct administrative support to the Pastor.
Essential Job Duties: • Maintain employee records (employee hours, health benefits, payroll, personnel files) • Perform bookkeeping duties (enter/pay bills, print checks) • Assist parish accountant as needed • Manage Human Resources (Compliance, Terms of Employment, Job Descriptions) • Oversee office operations • Assist Pastor as needed • Be well informed of parish activities and maintain official parish calendars • Manage and coordinate clergy liturgical calendar • Manage official parish correspondence • Maintain office and liturgical supplies • Manage parish data management system and online giving platform
• Excellent in multi-tasking, time management, and ability to prioritize work • Strong organizational skills • Strong communication skills • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures • Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
