Job Posting for Parish Director of Sacred Music
Salary and Benefits Commensurate with experience.
Undergraduate Music Degree preferred.
The director is responsible for the overall execution of the church's sacred music program, with a pastoral approach, in line with the church's teachings and the pastor's vision for sacred music.
Plan and direct music for weddings, funerals, 4 weekend Masses, 1 weekly school/parish Mass, occasional important weekday Holy Days/Feast Days as they occur in the liturgical calendar year, i.e., Immaculate Conception, Ash Wednesday, Ascension Thursday, Assumption and Holy Week.
Direct two weeknight rehearsals: Traditional Choir and Contemporary Worship Group.
Plan all liturgical music with hymn numbers in coordination with current yearly OCP Hymnal, planned out months in advance for each liturgical season(s).
Train and maintain volunteer cantors and assign cantor schedules months in advance
Coordinate and lead music for several special events during the year, including but not limited to: Divine Mercy Sunday Prayer Service and Chaplet, Advent Reconciliation Service, Lenten Reconciliation Service, First Reconciliation Service, First Eucharist and Confirmation Mass, All Souls Day Mass and monthly Healing Service with praise and worship music.
Schedule maintenance and tuning of pipe organ before Advent and before Easter. Schedule maintenance for all pianos.

Music Teacher for Holy Trinity Catholic School
Teach music to all grades PK-8 one day a week.
Prep students for weekly school Mass singing.
Coordinate and prepare two annual performances: Christmas Pageant and the Holy Week Passion play or Living Stations of the Cross.
Coordinate and lead music for annual 8th Grade Graduation Mass.
Optional: Learn and lead all music for annual summer children's Vacation Bible School.
