The administrator of Divine Mercy Academy should be dedicated and enthusiastic about the Catholic classical mission and vision of DMA and should express this commitment in the graciousness and professionalism with which he or she attends to the needs of the families, students, faculty and the board of directors.
-Answer phones/checks messages and directs questions to the proper party
-Greet all guests warmly and provides a welcome to visitors
-Attends to teacher, family and board clerical requests
-Attends to teacher needs during the school day (such as care for ill students or monitoring recess)
-Manages all facility and grounds maintenance requests
-Manages all office related supply or maintenance issues
-Receives teacher requests that may need Board attention; attends Board meetings to facilitate clear communication from both parties.
-Oversees and modifies cleaning schedules, in coordination with cleaning staff and volunteers
-Develops plans for emergency preparedness and coordinates drills with faculty and staff
The preferred candidate:
-Is a practicing Catholic in Communion with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church
-Demonstrates full support of, and has an interest in learning more about, Divine Mercy Academy's mission, vision, policies and practices.
-Carries out daily tasks in a professional manner
-Communicates clearly and congenially
-Is organized, efficient, and takes initiative
-Is able to balance multiple demands and tasks with calm, good humor, and sound judgment
-Is able to refer questions, problems, and concerns to the proper authority
This position is approximately 20 hours per week with possible growth and takes place during the academic year, September through May. Hours are flexible within the school day and week. For the 22-23 school year, the position is open and available to start immediately. Compensation is dependent on experience.
