The purpose of the accountant position is to support the mission of The Church of the Holy Spirit in continuing to live out the Gospel and spread the Good News. The accountant assists with the management of parish and school resources through various duties including: • Accounts payables • Bank and credit card reconciliations • Journal entries • Semi-monthly payroll • Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all parish financial accounts according to the standards set by governmental, Archdiocesan, and parish policies, as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Desired Qualifications • Accounting degree required; CPA preferred. • Three - five years of accounting (preferably experience in a non-profit environment).
