St. Mary Catholic School, in Lake Leelanau, MI, a high-performing, faith based, open enrollment, K-12 school, is looking for a full-time Admissions Officer. St. Mary is part of the Diocese of Gaylord which educates approximately 2500 students regionally.
The Admissions Officer plans and facilitates school initiatives surrounding new and existing family recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts. St. Mary educates preschool through 12th grade students in an environment based on Gospel values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Collaborates with the St. Mary Administrative Team and various other individuals and identified committees, to develop and facilitate a long term strategy for student capacity, annual enrollment, retention, and revenue goals.
*Defines metrics, set targets, and tracks progress against recruitment, enrollment and retention goals.
*Collaborates in the development and execution of a marketing plan to promote St. Mary School.
*Tracks enrollment management best practices and benchmarks locally, regionally, and nationally.
*In collaboration with the Business Office, offers recommendations of support on behalf of new and existing families, for tuition based awards.
*Evolves and maintains a portfolio of programs and community organizations designed to build and sustain partnerships in support of student recruitment.
*Represents St. Mary School at all internal and external events related to the admissions process.
Utilizes internal and external resources to collaborate with other schools, consultants and educational organizations.
*Fosters relationships with multiple constituencies including parents, alumni and the greater community.
*Builds strong relationships and engages faculty, staff, and coaches within the school, to assist in the articulation of the School's message.
*Consistently keeps the Administration Team informed of all relevant information.
*Understands and communicates effectively St. Mary's unique history, traditions, offerings and culture, as well as the developmental and educational needs of students.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree preferred.
*A passion and understanding for catholic schools, prior experience in enrollment/admissions preferred.
*Demonstrated understanding of the key elements in successful recruitment/enrollment.
*Commitment and demonstrated ability to work with diverse families.
*Excellent analytical skills with the capacity for deep analysis of data collection and synthesis.
*Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to successfully manage competing demands.
*Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office, Google Drive; previous database experience preferred.
*Ability to convey clear, compelling, verbal and written messaging.
*Possess a high degree of integrity, discretion and confidentiality, along with a warm and friendly demeanor.
