Job Title: Communications Assistant
The Communications Assistant works with the Saint Benedict Institute administration team to manage and contribute content for communication outlets including, but not limited to the website, social media, and Mailchimp.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Oversee the SBI communications calendar
Coordinate monthly team meetings
Design, write and/or copy edit and post content for blog posts
Update the calendar of events
Maintain email communications schedule
Create and edit email campaigns
Social Media (Facebook, Instagram):
Create and schedule all social media content
Design, write and/or copy edit content for fundraising appeals.
Design, write and/or copy edit content and coordinate the production of the biannual newsletter.
An ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Catholic practicing his/her faith actively
Adept with, or able to learn how to use databases
Ability to create basic graphic design
Ability to communicate effectively
Excellent writing skills
Excellent computer skills
This position will require being able to work independently, track and report work hours. Typically it will require 5-10 hours/week. Work can be done remotely, and it is not necessary to live in or near Holland, MI.
Wage commensurate with experience.
The Communications Assistant reports to SBI's director of development.
