This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to join the Saint Cecilia team and become part of a dynamic parish team with a special vision. The Pastoral Director of Operations (PDO) will be responsible for managing the staff, as well as providing overall operational and administrative leadership for the parish. Working directly with the Pastor and staff, the PDO will drive the development of the long-term vision, and implement the administrative, operating, and pastoral plans to align with the parish’s mission and vision. He or she must be a leader who is able to help others serve the community and reach mutually agreed upon goals while working with diverse constituency groups.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, high energy, proven leader with exceptional emotional intelligence. He/she will have the ability to build trust internally and externally. They will have the ability to assess the skills and experience of the staff and work with them to develop goals and responsibilities that best utilize their strengths to implement Saint Cecilia’s mission. He/she must have the intelligence, high integrity, and personal style that will enable them to quickly gain the respect of the Pastor and the staff. They must have skills to assess current practices and plans, and the confidence to professionally question them if necessary. He/she must possess the insight and flexibility to accommodate the Pastor’s unique style and allow him to focus on the mission.
