The Clergy Trust Department is seeking an experienced Vice President of Marketing to oversee and direct the marketing efforts. The Vice President of Marketing position will report to the Executive Director of the Clergy Trust and be a member of the Leadership Team. The VP of Marketing will work together with the VP of Finance and Administration and with the Director of Regina Cleri to drive successful marketing and branding outcomes. This role will work to build brand visibility and awareness of the CT and its core programs. Importantly, the VP of Marketing will work in very close collaboration with the Boston Catholic Development Services team (BCDS) in executing the marketing strategy and leading all marketing initiatives in support of the Clergy Trust. The successful individual will complement the major gift officers while building a more contemporary donor base. In working closely with the Executive Director, this role will manage all marketing initiatives and will design implement and measure the success of all marketing campaigns including broadening the Friends of Regina Cleri effort. The ideal candidate should bring experience with demonstrated project management skills as well as digital marketing experience and an ability to attribute success metrics to marketing campaigns. Ideal candidate is highly professional driven and will lead successful fundraising efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Clergy Trust marketing initiatives including print, electronic, and social media
Increase brand awareness through the implementation of a cohesive marketing plan
Work closely with BCDS on collection campaigns, successful annual fundraising dinner and other annual donor events
Ability to research, develop and introduce new donor relationships to the Clergy Trust/ED
Monitor, analyze and improve upon current marketing efforts
Build and enhance key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Oversee marketing spend and work with Finance and Administration to measure results
Identify and recommend a wealth screening solution appropriate to identify potential donors
Analyze target markets and identify opportunities for improvement
Work with pastors to identify new donors across all five regions of Archdiocese
Oversee donor management/outreach strategies via thank you and stewardship mailings
Provide Leadership Team and Board of Trustees with appropriate marketing metrics
Utilize creative PR strategies to build relationships with donors' stakeholders and media
As part of the Leadership Team, work closely with Executive Director in strategic planning of development initiatives
Success will be measured by increase in annual operative revenue of $450K or greater
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required. BS/MA in Marketing or Communications desirable along with experience in Marketing, Communication or similar relevant field
Proven work in a senior role such as Marketing Director VP of Marketing or similar
Experience in the design and implementation of successful marketing plans and initiatives
Experience working in an advancement or development function
Experience working in the nonprofit sector
Excellent leadership, presentation and communication skills
High level of proficiency with social media platforms and donor management systems
Demonstrated analytical and project management skills
In depth knowledge of market research
Great decision-making skills and the ability to make difficult decisions
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on organization's success
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail
Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge and proficiency in Google AdWords SEO and web analytics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A strong interest in supporting the priests of the Archdiocese of Boston
Understanding of Catholic Teachings / annual liturgical seasons
Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church
