The Boston Catholic Development Services Department is currently looking for a full-time Marketing Associate to join their team. The person in this position will provide marketing support, project management, and administrative duties in support of key fundraising activities and campaigns for entities of the Archdiocese of Boston.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates logistics for various fundraising events including luncheons, dinners, receptions, house parties, galas, virtual meetings, and special events. Schedules planning meetings, maintains detailed checklists, coordinates production of materials, liaises with venues and vendors, and handles a variety of on-site details.
Updates donor database records. Prepares reports and tracks data using Excel spreadsheets.
Schedules and arranges in-person and virtual meetings. Prepares and distributes meeting materials and coordinates details with participants.
Drafts correspondence, memoranda, agenda, Power Point presentations, and other documents as directed.
Maintains electronic project files. Tracks project status and facilitates completion of project schedules.
Edits and updates website content.
Executes donor email campaigns.
Exercises good judgment and absolute discretion in handling highly confidential matters.
Interacts in positive and professional manner with staff, trustees, committee members, donors, and vendors.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Excellent organization skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple duties.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive working relationships with Archdiocese personnel, senior executive-level staff and donors, and outside organizations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Highly service-oriented, conscientious, and capable of working independently.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
Proficient with Archdiocesan policies and procedures.
Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church.
Experience with Raisers Edge, automated email systems, and/or website content management systems is a plus.
PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:
Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day.
Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
