    Job Title: Parish/Bookstore Customer Care Representative

    Job Classification: Non-exempt (hourly)

    Reports To: Sales Manager

    Job Type: Part-time, Temporary Position (expected to run immediately through March 2026)

    Job Location: Frederick, MD

    Expected Hours of Work: 30 hours per week between the hours of Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Compensation (Wage Range): $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (final rate based on experience and qualifications)

    Other Compensation: Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law

    Benefits (General Description): Participation in our 401(k) retirement savings plan (subject to service requirements), along with statutory benefits such as workers' compensation and unemployment insurance

    Position Summary
    The Parish/Bookstore Service Representative will ensure our magazine's timely and successful delivery by providing customer service to our customers, telemarketers, and internal teams via inbound and outbound emails and phone calls. They will act as a liaison between customers and internal teams by utilizing customer account information to manage orders, promote products, process payments, and discuss collections. They will fulfill requests as needed while maintaining a high level of care and empathy for the customer. This is a temporary position expected to run immediately through March 2026.

    Essential Functions
    • Respond promptly to inquiries about TWAU products and services.
    • Answer inbound calls and respond efficiently to emails.
    • Manage customer accounts: set up new customers, update existing records, track shipments.
    • Process orders and payments securely.
    • Make outbound calls to promote products to potential customers.
    • Make outbound calls to discuss debts and collect payments.
    • Provide administrative support to telemarketers.
    • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams.

    Qualifications
    Required:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Strong customer service skills with commitment to customer satisfaction
    • Clear, professional, and concise communication (in writing, in person, and on the phone)
    • Ability to remain calm and respectful when handling complaints or stressful situations
    • Proficiency in computer applications and phone systems
    • Strong work ethic, reliable, dependable, punctual, positive, team player
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Understanding of the importance of marketing, sales, collections, and service
    • Commitment to security standards, including safeguarding cardholder information
    Preferred:
    • Call center experience
    • Familiarity with magazine mailing timelines and schedules
    • Bilingual in Spanish
    • Knowledge of general processes and procedures in a customer service environment
