The mission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the archdiocese is seeking a Coordinator of Participants and Outreach for the Spanish-speaking program for Project Rachel Ministries. The Coordinator of Participants and Outreach will be responsible for working with the Director by coordinating training and group healing events for individuals/families/clergy that serve or are impacted by abortion, post abortion trauma and informing parishes of the ministry/resources and programs while providing clergy and staff formation. The Coordinator will help to oversee the transition to a regional model of PRM. The Coordinator of Participants and Outreach reports to the Program Director of the Project Rachel Ministry.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as a member of the Project Rachel team coordinating with other Project Rachel staff persons and PMSC staff as needed. Assist Program Director in managing regional ministries and volunteers.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for regional ministries.
• Provide direct service, active listening, and support during intake process.
• Maintain confidential files and current statistics for participants.
• Coordinate events and programs, advertise, and assist with logistics, registration, and implementation for regional ministries.
• Raise awareness through social media, direct mailing, and radio.
• Follow up with participants through phone calls, emails, or monthly texts, as needed.
• Keep track of calls and counseling services in database.
• Make appropriate referrals to Clergy, Licensed Mental Health professionals.
• Coordinate days of prayer and healing, gatherings, and weekend retreats, and or support groups.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all ADW policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Practicing Catholic and committed to the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external to parish leaders, parishioners, and other professionals. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary pastoral service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and personal information and keep information confidential.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelors in Mental Health, Social Work, Theology, Psychology, related field or comparable work experience.
• Minimum three years' experience in parish ministry preferably in pro-life issues, post-abortion healing, and multicultural ministry.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary pastoral service.
• Must be aware and act from professional standards of care and confidentiality.
• Excellent computer and digital media proficiency (MS Office 365 - Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Must have reliable transportation, as position requires extensive travel outside of public transportation.
