Job Requirements:
- Strong subject-matter knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to prepare, plan, create and execute informative and engaging lesson plans for the subject area
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate classroom instruction to accommodate various learners
- Experience with classroom instruction
- Teaching certification from DC, MD, VA preferred, but will be required within three years of hire
- Bachelor's degree in subject area or related
- Commitment to social justice
- Commitment to working with high school students
- Experience and sensitivity to working in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills
