REMOTE PROJECT MANAGER
Part Time - Work from Home
Sprout Studio is a growing team of Catholic Professionals who love their faith and care about putting people first, both when it comes to our clients and their customers, and our employees and their families.
Our mission is to support businesses and ministries that are passionate about making a difference in the world. Our ministry division, Catholic Support Services, provides care for Catholic clients, who love their faith and are reaching millions of customers with products and services that change their lives for the better.
We specialize in building and running high quality websites that are the backbone for ministries and businesses. We also provide ongoing consulting, web technology and marketing support for these organizations to grow.
Apart from our love for the faith, what makes us unique is that our experience comes from having built our own Montessori education business first. We are good at what we do because we’ve first struggled through it and have found ongoing success.
Our ministry division, Catholic Support Services, has also developed some in-house ministries: cpros.org & recatholic.com offer free services to help Catholics grow both spiritually and professionally.
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for the faith and also our drive for success.
Context of this Position
Our CEO founded Sprout Studio several years after the creation of Montessori By Mom, which is a Montessori subscription service that offers themed curriculum boxes for home, school & daycare. Both businesses are fully functional and growing, and there is overlap of employee involvement in each.
In addition, our team is constantly creating new tools and products at the service of the Church. For example, we built and run this Catholic hiring portal you’re using right now, and also a Catholic formation website which is expanding in multiple directions.
There are multiple DBAs under one business umbrella. There is complexity of both client work and internal work. There are remote employees, on-site warehouse employees, as well as some contractors. There is also the difference between Montessori work and other internal project work. When it comes to client work, there are three types: large projects such as web builds, quick IT support such as graphic design or bug fixes, and there are clients on monthly retainers - with the added complexity of the difference of hourly and deliverable work.
Above all you are able to see all the complex pieces at a glance, and to provide ongoing insight into efficiency as regards management, sales, hiring and standard operating procedures. You should be able to easily guide employees in the efficient use of time to meet deadlines and contracts, and our sales department for the purpose of lining up future work on the calendar, and provide support to our CEO and Business Manager in the creation and development of Standards of Operation for ever increased business efficiency, and in the choice of future hires.
You excel at teamwork, brainstorming, planning and organization, and you are able to relentlessly push team projects forward until completion without hand-holding. You are a go-getter who cannot leave projects or tasks unfinished.
The organization of client and internal projects entails having complete oversight of all the moving pieces, making sure that the goals, budget and deadlines are clearly defined and that the next steps are concrete and scheduled.
You will oversee and manage client workloads and relationships. You make sure communication with clients is clear and professional, that agreements are adhered to both by Clients and Account Managers: this includes project scopes, budgets and deadlines. You manage Company and Employee workloads, and advise the company when it comes to taking on new work and future hires.
There’s no typical day at the office, but a single morning might include scheduling writers for a blog’s editorial calendar, checking the progress of a promotional video, meeting with a creative director and web designer to plan out a new website, researching possible new clients in a concrete field of interest, and a strategic call to launch some new online evangelization tool.
The work is 100% remote, however you will be expected to work according to a set schedule in close collaboration with the whole team via online communication systems.
Kind of Person We’re Looking For
You have a deep passion for the faith, and a lived experience of the Gospel.
You are excited about working together with a small team of faithful young Catholic professionals.
You are someone who takes ownership for your work and will do what it takes to get the job done.

You have excellent leadership skills, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
You’re humble enough to ask for help and admit mistakes.
Ability to manage many moving parts of a business and to optimize how they all work together. Ability to analyze data and provide key insight for future business decisions that will guide action: Sales, Services and Operations.
You possess the ability to think critically and navigate complexity. You have strong analytical and organizational skills, and are a fast learner who can adapt quickly.
You love solving problems and facing a variety of challenges with consistent follow-through.
You are highly proficient in using and learning online computer systems and tools.
You have a passion and talent for communication: written, verbal, digital.
You have excellent typing skills, and are highly proficient in the use of computer programs.

Compensation and Hours
The position is 100% remote work.
$15-20/hr depending on previous experience.
