The Muncie Catholic Pastorate of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Lawrence, and St. Mary, is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Campus Minister to serve the students of Ball State University. This full-time position works collaboratively on a vibrant pastoral team under the leadership of the Director of Evangelization to foster an active culture of discipleship and faith formation among college students. The ideal candidate is passionate about the Catholic faith, highly organized, and gifted in relational ministry and evangelization. Responsibilities include planning and leading retreats and spiritual programming, mentoring student leaders, coordinating events, and directing the resident intern program. The Campus Minister will help make Muncie Catholic a true spiritual home for students, promoting growth in their intellectual, apostolic, and Christian lives. Essential Duties:
Articulates and supports the vision, goals, and priorities of the Catholic Church and supports the spiritual and intellectual formation of college aged students of Ball State University and the pastorate.
Assists the Pastor and Director of Evangelization in developing and implementing programs directed toward an active culture of discipleship within Campus Minister.
Works closely with the Director of Evangelization to strengthen the Catholic identity of Campus Ministry through "hands-on" engagement in formation, missions, communication, and implementation of pastorate priorities and goals.
Oversees and coordinates formation opportunities.
Directs and manages the Intern Program.
Recruits, trains and supports volunteers for the implementation of programs as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Must be a practicing Catholic, committed to prayer and a desire to know God.
At least 2 years of experience in planning or executing education programs, missions, retreats, special events planning, or related areas.
Previous supervision experience is necessary.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related area is preferred. Academic background in Catholic Theology/Religious Studies or equivalent.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Flocknote, and current technology is preferred.
