Credit Analyst Role (Not-For-Profit)
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing performance analysis, budget preparation, reporting and forecasting. Provides a variety of financial data; maintains and updates financial models and plans. Provides financial analysis and projections to all levels in the organization supporting functional objectives. Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.
Work Timing and Environment:
This role is HYBRID, reporting to an assigned parish or school for various meetings and presentations.
Some routine scheduled committee or council meetings may take place between the hours of 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Work is performed in MS Teams, SAGE software for an accountant's environment.
Reports to: Director, CFO, or Controller level in organization
Core Responsibilities:
Provides budget, forecast and variance analysis and related reports as needed.
Conducts financial research, analyzes financial performance against objectives and determines emerging financial trends.
Provides rationale behind reports and analysis and relays them in simple terms.
Creates and maintains statistical/financial databases and reports. Produces appropriate weekly, monthly and annual reports.
Work through training modules and acquire reporting skills in Sage Intacct software environment, building automated tools and reports.
Interacts as team member and sets the pace for the Financial Analysts team. Interfaces with other department members on special projects or on an as-needed basis.
Performs additional Business Operations duties and tasks as required.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
4-year degree in accounting required.
CPA Designation or MBA preferred.
Significant experience and understanding of cost accounting.
Experience in all functions of MS Excel including formulas, pivot tables, macros, and optimization add-ins.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
High sense of urgency (when required) and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks On-line
Experience with enterprise-level accounting system, helpful but not required.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience (Range $59,500 to $89,500)
