Verso is currently seeking a highly skilled full-time Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join our growing team and oversee the financial operations of the company. This role will work closely with each department to provide financial insights and guide the direction of the company, increasing financial accountability and driving profitability each step of the way. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, experience with strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and insightful analytical skills.
Your role at Verso Ministries:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and provide analysis of results to the Leadership Team
- Drive the annual planning process through the annual forecast, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Oversee cash flow management and make recommendations to optimize cash flow
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for increasing profitability of pilgrimages and alternative revenue streams
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and provide insights to Leadership Team
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as required
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- 1-2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
- Experience building financial forecasts, understanding basic accounting principles, managing cash flow, and engaging in strategic planning
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
- An ability to learn new skills, to be flexible. respond to ever-changing demands, and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Bonus points:
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Adobe suite, and/or a CRM
- Experience in the travel industry or working in a Catholic organization
