    Description

Leading with integrity, serving with compassion, learning with humility all are qualities that Marian graduates strive to achieve. As the leader of our Catholic community, the new Principal of Marian High School should exemplify these tenets and seek to live the example of Jesus Christ as teacher and servant.

Marian's Principal serves as the school's spiritual and educational leader and is responsible for exercising judgment in implementing a broad array of programs and functions. These responsibilities encompass spiritual development, curriculum, co-curricular activities, discipline, personnel practices, school facilities, marketing, financial stewardship, and community relations. In fulfilling this role, the Principal is supported by an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Business Manager, Director of Mission Advancement, and Athletic Director.

Marian High School in Mishawaka, IN has a growing, diverse population of over 700 students. The next Principal will continue to challenge all students to spiritual and moral growth, academic and physical excellence, and social maturity. Spiritually, over 80% of the students and 91% of the faculty are Catholic. Academically, Marian offers one of the largest dual credit programs in the area with 37 courses. Additionally, the Bernadette Scholars Program enhances the student body by serving students with cognitive disabilities. The Class of 2022 had a 100% graduation rate and collectively earned 4,403 college credits.

The Principal will be a dynamic, visionary, and experienced leader, while being comfortable with and capable of addressing the challenges facing most Catholic schools today. He or she must have demonstrated proficiency in building and maintaining internal and external community relationships that will ensure Marian's continued success and sustainability in initiatives such as the current capital campaign and beyond.

Marian is a Catholic co-educational high school operating within the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. The school is located on a 72 acre campus in Mishawaka, Indiana, directly north of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration Convent, and 15 minutes south of the University of Notre Dame. The State of Indiana has a robust School Choice Program benefiting many Marian Families.

For additional information regarding the school community, please visit the school's website here.
