Director of Development

Saint Patrick Parish is seeking a faith-filled, creative, and passionate Director of Development. Under the direction of the Business Manager and working alongside the Principal of Saint Patrick Catholic School, the Director of Development is responsible for effectively and positively communicating the strategic vision and mission of the Parish and school. The Director of Development supports and promotes the Parish by creating, implementing, and overseeing stewardship, grant writing, and development programs that grow the organization and expand the base of support. The ideal candidate will build and maintain positive working relationships and open communication with Parish/school staff, volunteers, school parents, parishioners, and the local community.

Responsibilities will include:
- Create and implement a stewardship plan that engages and encourages parishioners to invest their time, talent, and treasure in the Parish.
- Implement and oversee financial stewardship initiatives that encourage increased and intentional giving through programs including planned offertory, online, and planned giving.
- Implement and oversee spiritual stewardship program to increase participation in Parish ministries and outreach efforts.
- Build relationships and connections with local business owners and donors
- Generate new ideas for donor cultivation
- Write acknowledgment letters and personal thank you's to donors.
- Facilitate Parish and school fundraising opportunities and establish revenue goals. Oversee new and existing fundraisers as well as those identified by the pastor and diocese, including but not
limited to:
- Alumni Program: create and implement an annual plan that engages alumni and encourages financial support for the school. Include ongoing communications (newsletters, Facebook), activities (reunions), and an annual appeal. Build the alumni database to expand the base of support.
- Emerald Evening: serve as primary staff liaison to co-chairs and committees. Facilitate and help manage the process for all aspects of the event, including solicitations, publicity, vendors, auction software, reservations, and night-of-event activities.
- School, Parish ministries, and organizations with fundraising efforts as requested, including St. Patrick Home and School.

Essential job duties:
- Build lasting relationships using relational ministry skills.
- Prepare and oversee all grant applications.
- Create and manage communications via print, website, and social media.
- Regularly update and monitor all website content that relates to Development Office.
- Identify new prospective donors and areas of potential gift growth for current donors.
- Provide timely reports to the Pastor on the progress of stewardship and development goals.
- Attend and assist in all Parish and school events as needed.
- Coordinate and participate in donor recognition activities.
- Manage and maintain events software as needed.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Business Manager
