The bookkeeper will be a part-time contractor who will on a contractual, hourly basis provide bookkeeper services for clients, in addition to assisting with basic tax return preparation and data entry.
• Oversee QuickBooks related bookkeeping for clients who will range from single members LLCs to Catholic and pro-life nonprofits or small businesses with up to approximately 50 employees. • Assist with tax preparation by filling out of various tax forms and serving as a double check on entered figures.
• Proven bookkeeping experience. • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. • Very strong Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers • Hands-on experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Products • Proficiency in English • Extremely high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Hourly rate will be determined based on experience. The position will be a contractual position (i.e., 1099) at this time and not carry any benefits. At first, this position may only require 5 hours a week, but it is expected that over time it could potentially grow into a full-time (e.g., 20 to 30 hours a week) position.
