Sr. Accountant

Responsible for all Accounting and Finance activities of Relevant Radio.

• Executes Accounting and Financial policies, plans, procedures and controls. Ensure that all operations are effectively and efficiently performed.
• Maintains effective financial control over the assets, liabilities, income and disbursements, including license and property, capital expenditures, inventories.
• Ensure the provision of such services to the company as accounting, audits, and treasury.
• Maintains revenue and expense cycle accounting systems and interpretive reports responsive to needs of organizational units for decision-making and direction and control of their respective activities.
• Oversee cash flow activities of the organization.
• Manage monthly bank reconciliation and other account reconciliation as directed by CFO.
• Oversees the preparation of all income, sales and property tax returns.
• Oversight of company assets and property leases.
• Management of general business insurance coverage's and renewals.
• Responsible for maintaining state registration and charitable licensing.
• Act as the annual liaison with company auditors.
• Ensure General Ledger system meets all legal requirements and is properly kept and retained for the corporation, its stations and affiliates. Ensure all recording requirements are met for donors and regulatory agencies as required by law and practice.
• Responsible for the creation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Special projects and analytical reporting as assigned.

Seeking those who have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance with strong US GAAP. CPA required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting preferred field. Audit experience is a plus. Experience with federal, state and local tax reporting requirements for non-profits. Experience with cost allocation for an organization with multiple programs, preferably in non-profit or grant-funded organization. Budgetary and financial statement experience is necessary. Must have excellent computer skills, accounting and software systems experience, and an expertise in all Microsoft products. Detailed- oriented and organized, able to multi-task and work within strict deadline- oriented environments.
