High School Music Teacher

Chesterton Academy of the Immaculate Heart, a classical high school in the Catholic tradition seeks a talented and dynamic part time Music/Choir teacher with a background in liberal arts for the 2022-23 academic year. This would involve teaching a class of 35 students three times a week for 45 minutes. This position also includes preparing our students for an Advent Lessons and Carols concert as well as for our annual Gala event. The music curriculum at Chesterton Academy includes music theory, performance, ear training, and note reading. Three to five years of teaching Sacred music, Polyphany, and Gregorian chant is highly preferred as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
