St. Anne Catholic Church, Columbus, Georgia, is a vibrant and diverse parish with over 1300 families, has an opening for a Director of Music and Main Accompanist (Piano and Organ). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the Music Ministry, including selecting music, directing choirs and serving as St. Anne's primary accompanist.
This position requires musical proficiency in organ, piano and voice as well as a thorough knowledge of Church liturgical guidelines and norms. Reporting to the pastor, the position must promote excellent liturgical music, preserving the best of the past and most notable of the future. A Masters in Music is preferred with 3+ years of experience in a church position. All candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of the teachings and practices of the Catholic Faith, demonstrate a passion for and a love of liturgical music, and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
