Lower School Principal

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School is a parish school operating under a President-Principal model serving nearly 800 students age 1 through grade 12 and 80 faculty and staff on a beautiful campus in Columbus, Georgia. Under the supervision of the Pastor and President, the lower school principal fulfills the mission of the Catholic school serving as the spiritual, educational, visionary, relational and managerial leader charged with implementing the philosophy, mission, and management of the early learning program (birth to PK4) and lower school (grades K-8). The principal is responsible for the professionalism of the faculty and staff, educational achievements of students, and cultivating a mutually respectful relationship with the school and parish communities.

Academic/Professional Requirements:
o Master's Degree in the field of educational leadership/school administration
o Eligible for Georgia Leadership Certification (L5)
o Successful teaching experiences (minimum of 5 years) at the Elementary and/or Middle School level
o Obtain/maintain Catechetical certification
o Experience with school finance/budgeting requirements and federal programs
o Understanding of Catholic theology and philosophy of Catholic education
o Evidence of continuing education
o Leadership experience preferred
o Three (3) references are required; at least one shall be from a Pastor.
Personal Requirements:
o Must be a practicing Catholic in good-standing with the Church.
o Maintain a personal philosophy, values, and lifestyle consistent with the tenants of the Catholic faith.
o Ability to work collaboratively with parish administration, diocesan personnel, faculty/staff, parents
and parish organizations.
o Ability to articulate and implement a vision for the school in areas of Catholic identity, academics,
service, and advancement.
o Ability to create an atmosphere of welcome and open dialogue.

VIRTUS training and criminal background check are required for hiring.
