Position Summary:
This is a critical position to the success of the parish and its efforts. This is a community which we feel is being called by the Holy Spirit to do something amazing. We have made this position full time to help us move in the direction that the Lord is calling us to go. The Communication Coordinator will develop and work in collaboration with the Pastor, Staff, and Ministry Leaders to achieve communications goals. Duties include overseeing and facilitating church communications through written, verbal, and digital media.
Communications/Administrative Duties:
• Create all general parish communications for appropriate messaging and marketing
• Ability to build and manage teams to accomplish the overall goal of communications to the parish
• Collaborate with all Parish groups and staff to assess modes of parish communication and determine best delivery (Website, Video, Bulletin, Parish mailings, and social media)
• Develop and implement on-going communication plan in conjunction with the Pastor's Leadership Team (PLT) for sharing discipleship development successes and this position is an integral part of the PLT
• Create weekly Mass slides, bulletin, eblast to be reviewed with the PLT at meeting
• Receive and prioritize weekly handout content and requests from ministries and parish staff
• Review parish calendar for potential bulletin items and coordinate timing of content with departments
• Maintain ministry leader distribution database and send group communications as requested, respond to communication requests (send mailings / phone calls, constant contact), routine correspondence as requested (phone calls, emails, etc.) for ministry support
• Maintain and update parish website and social media, review calendar and make recommendations to staff and ministry leaders for Mass slides, weekend handouts, eblast and website inclusions
• Maintain and update display monitors of public meeting and event schedule
• Video/Photograph parish event coordination and execution when requested
• Coordinate with Liturgy Media Specialist to keep a cohesive look/branding of graphic elements and collaborate on larger video productions to ensure appropriate message of the Parish

• High level of organizational skills
• Self-driven with ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communicator - verbal and written - ability to compose correspondence
• Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work effectively and efficiently
• Good interpersonal skills, team player, pastoral and welcoming attitude
• Practicing Catholic
• Some evening and/or weekend work will be required for some Parish-wide events
• Parish Membership highly suggested to be successful
