Position Overview The Maintenance Worker supports the parish by ensuring that all facilities, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained and in safe working condition. This position requires broad knowledge of routine maintenance and repair practices. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and compliance with all diocesan Safe Environment requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain familiarity with parish property. - Ensure facilities are safe, well-maintained, and suitable for parish ministries and operations. - Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep of facilities. - Carry out groundskeeping and landscaping duties. - Monitor facility and equipment conditions, identifying areas of concern and addressing them promptly. - Determine and procure necessary materials and supplies to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Prior maintenance experience is essential. - Ability to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns. - Strong initiative, reliability, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
