The Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese of Miami is seeking an Office Coordinator to support the Building and Property Office. This position will be primarily responsible for coordinating the office administrative activities for the director and managers on property-related issues of the Archdiocese of Miami Pastoral Center; and secondarily in supporting the project management process and other facilities activities for all properties owned by the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. This position also assigns work to the part-time administrative assistant and mailroom clerk. The Property and Building Office Coordinator performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Bachelor's degree preferred; some property management support experience in a regulated environment a plus.
Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills preferred.
Must be able to multi-task in an environment of competing priorities and interruptions.
Ability to interpret invoices from contractors, architects, and vendors.
Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.
Knowledge of basic elements of Catholic Church facilities and parish structures.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge in Microsoft Project a plus.
Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively for research purposes.
Type at least 60 wpm with 90 percent accuracy.
Good spelling and grammar required.
Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
Good time management skills, including ability to manage several projects at the same time.
Must be able to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
Must have a professional demeanor.
