High School Library Instructional Media Specialist

Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School located in Southwest Ranches, Florida (Broward County) is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Media Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year. This employee will be expected to organize and implement an appropriate 21st Century school library media program. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
• Required: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Educational Media, Library Science, or related field.
• Must provide at time of resume, a copy of your Florida Department of Education Certification in Educational Media Specialist (Grades 6-12).
• Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission, teachings, and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Knowledge and skill in use of instructional technology, including iPads in the classroom.
• Proficiency in the latest media specialist technologies and school platforms.
• Familiarity with the national and state standards for information and technology literacy
• Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Oversees the operation and maintenance of the media center before, during, and after school.
• Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
