Bi-Lingual Coordinator of Faith Formation
Part-Time hourly position; requires Sunday hours August - May

Under direction of the pastor, is responsible for the parish's catechetical ministry. Organizes and evaluates the parish's formation programming (adult, adolescent/youth, children, infants, and family as well as sacramental preparation for initiation, including the catechumenate.)

Coordinates, recruits, facilitates training for, and evaluates catechists and volunteers involved in catechetical programming.

Communicates with parishioners, parish staff, and diocesan representatives on relevant matters.

Stays current with regard to developments or trends in the field of catechetics, education, and ministry.

Job Requirements:
• Practicing Catholic
• Experience working/volunteering in the parish level
• Ability to manage and coordinate teams of adult volunteers
• Computer literacy; excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Bi-lingual (English / Spanish)
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, pastoral studies, religious education or a related field (or
equivalent) preferred.

Candidate must successfully pass a level II FBI background screening and complete Safe Environment Training.
