    Job Summary

    Seeking a full-time therapist, licensed in the state of Florida, to provide ongoing counseling for individuals, couples, and families. This therapist would offer in person counseling sessions as well as Telehealth sessions, making this important resource available beyond the Gainesville and/or Sarasota communities and across all clinics. She will also provide group therapy options, both in person and Telehealth, dealing with specific issues around sexual health and relationships. These would include groups for victims of sexual violence and abuse, pornography addiction, abortion healing and more. She will provide oversight for the mentoring program with access to over 250 online lessons on prenatal development, pregnancy, infant care, parenting, fatherhood, life skills and more. She will also help mentor students involved in masters level psychology and social work programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to Community Pregnancy Clinics mission & vision by way of work products and professional behavior
    • Adhere to the requirements and regulations as set forth by The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling based on clinical licensure
    • Adhere to all current federal & state laws, as well as Community Pregnancy Clinics' Policies and Procedures, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPPA)
    • Report immediately any immediate dangers regarding clients to appropriate parties as described in Policy & Procedure and as required by the law.
    • Establish relationships with clients, caseworker, family members (as released by client), & staff
    • Maintain professional licensure as a mental health provider in good standing based on licensing requirements
    • Maintain all training requirements for licensure and for Community Pregnancy Clinics
    • Attend staff meetings as required
    • Complete other duties as required by CEO & Management
    • Obtain information about clients through use of interview, case history and observational techniques
    • Provide trauma-informed therapy and counseling intervention for at risk clients to gain insight into personal problems, define goals, and plan actions reflecting interests, abilities, and needs and to discuss progress towards achieving goals
    • Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress
    • Act as an advocate for participants and/or participant when appropriate
    • Provide mentoring and other intervention models to clients who have experienced trauma or are at risk of experiencing trauma
    • Identify and provide clinical services to those experiencing comorbidity with mental/behavioral health and or substance abuse/use
    • Use creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery
    • Practice good stewardship of financial and capital resources
    • Show willingness to accomplish any other tasks or duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Current license as a LCSW/LPC/LMFT in the State of Florida
    • Demonstrates strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy
    • Knowledge of community resources and willingness to connect with resources
    • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately
    • Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours
    • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices
    • Ability to establish rapport with clients
    • Flexible and ability to multi-task
    • Requires knowledge of computers to input data, write communications and generate reports
    • Demonstrates skills and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the participant population
    • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently
