St. James Catholic School in North Miami, Florida is seeking a Full-Time ESE Teacher for the upcoming 2022-2023. This candidate must be familiar with teaching exceptional students and students needing additional academic support and proficient in strategies that facilitate learning for students with various learning needs. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Elementary level students in Exceptional Student Education and RTI programs. The teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the Exceptional Student Education program
-Work collaboratively with other faculty members to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
-Create a meaningful learning experience for students at various levels.
-Plan and deliver small group individualized instruction to students receiving Response to Intervention and Exceptional Student Education services
-BS / BA Degree in Exceptional Student Education or related field required.
-Florida Department of Education ESE teaching certificate, temporary or professional required.
-Proficient in strategies to teach students with learning disabilities.
-Excellent classroom management and program organizational skills with demonstrated ability to engage student High-level presentation skills including use of instructional technologies.
-Excellent oral and written English, including clear speaking voice.
-Effective communication skills.
-Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
-Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
-Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
-High level professionalism and consistent attendance ethics.
