Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Padua Academy is seeking qualified applicants for a full time Mathematics teacher.

Preferred Qualifications:
Mathematics or Secondary Education degree in Mathematics
Certification; non-certified candidates will be considered but must begin the certification process if hired
Previous Mathematics teaching experience at the secondary level
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with technology including the use of Smartboard, TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, and MacBook computer
Appreciation and understanding of the mission of Padua Academy and the ability to articulate its vision

Responsibilities:
Teach all levels of mathematics courses including Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and Statistics
Implement the use of learning management systems for planning and instruction
Implement the use of technology (1:1 Mac program, SMART Boards, graphing calculators) in classes regularly
Partner with school administration, guidance counselors, and parents to support student success
Differentiate instruction to meet students' learning needs
Participate in school extracurricular activities or other responsibilities as needed
