Organist-Accompanist

St. Jude Catholic Church is looking for an accompanist for 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Sunday Masses.
Skills/experience needed:
• Comfortable accompanying on pipe organ or piano for a Cantor or Choir.
• Detailed understanding of the Catholic Mass.
• Basic understanding or willingness to learn about the sound system is important.
• Experience on the organ is a preferred.
• Playing from a lead sheet on piano is helpful.

Time commitment and responsibilities:
• 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Masses on Sundays
• Monitor sound system during Mass (training provided)
• Warm-up/prep time with Cantors before Masses
• Schedule rehearsal time with Cantors (once/week)
• Some Wednesday evening rehearsals with our Men's Choir, with openness to adding other choirs in the future.
Hourly pay for rehearsals; Masses paid at $100 per unit.
