Track and Field Assistant Coach - Hurdles
Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic committed individual to serve as an Assistant T&F Coach -Hurdles . This is a part-time, opening for the 2022-2023 School Year.

The Department of Athletics at Mullen High School has an opening for an Assistant T&F Coach, Hurdles.
This is a part-time position for the 2022-2023 school year.
Compensation from $2,000 to $5,000, depending on years of experience.
This is a temporary, seasonal position and is not benefit eligible.
This position does not come with a full time position within the school.
Essential Job Functions
Catholic and Lasallian Identity
Understands, emphasizes and supports the Lasallian and Catholic nature of the school at all times
and through all responsibilities and programs in this case, ensuring that travel experiences are
connected to curriculum and to the Core Principles.
Models the role of coach to promote student behavior that is supportive, and conducive, to the
implementation of the school's instructional programs and goals.
Exemplifies and upholds the expectations and actions of Lasallian professionalism among all staff.
Coach
Create and maintain a positive culture that helps students grow as student athletes and individuals
Demonstrates the objectives of the school's core principles and values in accordance with its Mission
Assist the Head Coach in development of lower level program(s) and coaches to include varsity assistant
coaches with the expectation to follow and exemplify the school's Mission
Be a positive role model consistent with the school's Mission
Maintain effective communication with athletes, boosters, school administration, staff, students, parents
and the community
Perform other duties as they are assigned within the best interest for the program
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General
Understanding of and commitment to the Lasallian and Catholic nature of the school.
Strong decision-making, analytical and organizational skills.
Communication and Relationship
Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, including those
from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
Excellent interpersonal relations and oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from parents, administrators, community stakeholders,
etc. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, school personnel, parents,
vendors, peers and other stakeholders.
Ability to understand and be sensitive to those of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Ability to use tact, patience and courtesy when dealing with others.
Advanced skill in dealing with students and staff with diverse needs at various levels.
Knowledge of understanding of adolescent physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
Qualifications
Coaching high school track and field experience preferred
Comprehensive up-to-date knowledge of track and field latest trends techniques, strategies, and
technical skills
Possesses an enthused love for track and field and has a desire to develop the fundamental skills of high
school athletes
Work within the framework of a Lasallian, Catholic, and College Prep institution
