The Diocese of Sacramento is seeking a passionate and dynamic Director for the Newman Catholic Center at UC Davis to lead and inspire our vibrant campus ministry and community. The Director in this pivotal role will oversee the administration of the Catholic Center and be involved in developing and implementing faith-based programs, fostering spiritual growth, and creating a welcoming environment for students to encounter Christ, in collaboration with the Director of College Campus Ministry and other student leaders. An ideal candidate has 5 years of college campus ministry experience, a BA in Pastoral Ministry or a related field (MA preferred), is a proud Catholic in good standing with a passion for ministry to young people, has experience recruiting, forming and retaining young adult volunteers, excellent communication and marketing skills, works well with a diverse group of students from many cultures and backgrounds, and an ability to develop relationships and collaborate well with clergy, diocesan and parish leadership, and university faculty and staff. Bilingual, English and Spanish, is preferred but not required. The Newman Centers in the Diocese of Sacramento are transitional student communities that support and empower college student leaders to make disciples of Jesus. The Newman Catholic Center is part of the Office of Family, Faith Formation & Young People that that equips ministry leaders to accompany disciples of Jesus through discernment, formation, and accompaniment.
